The cooling mode of the pedal motorcycle is generally forced air cooling, so the temperature of the pedal motorcycle engine is higher than that of the straddle bike with the same displacement, and higher requirements are put forward for its cooling mode. In order to maintain the durability of the beautiful appearance of the motorcycle, the daily maintenance of the pedal motorcycle is more complicated than that of the straddle bike.
The oil change frequency is every 800-1500km/time, and the oil should be washed with a uniform engine cleaner. (35 yuan/500CC, one bottle can be used for three times. When changing, drain 30% of the engine oil, and then add the unified engine cleaner (160ml) to run the engine for 5 minutes. Drain it all, blow in high-pressure air from the oil filling place, blow out the residual oil in the gearbox, and inject new engine oil. Be sure to clean the bottom of the oil pan spiral and the filter screen before installing them.
The cleaning frequency of the air filter is every 2000km/time. Because the air filter position of the scooter is lower than that of the straddle bike, and the air inlet direction is generally horizontal (the straddle bike is generally upward), the filter is dirty during driving.
Spark plugs should be replaced every 20000 km. On the market: CR6E, CR7E, CR8E, CR9E. The number in the middle represents the calorific value. If your engine has a high compression ratio, it is recommended to use a spark plug with a high calorific value. This can increase power and save fuel.
Replace the air filter every 2000km. Every time you add gas, ask the gas dispenser to take out the air filter and blow it down with an air gun, which is good for the car! It can better prevent dust from entering the engine. (Pay attention to blowing from the air filter to the outside, not from the outside. Pay attention to the principle of steam absorption: the outside air enters the engine from the middle space of the air filter through the filter paper! Blowing from the outside to the inside will only further block the air filter)
Since the scooter has a belt transmission mode and a reducer behind the left crankcase, the gear oil should be replaced regularly. Generally speaking, the replacement frequency of the gear oil is every 3000km/time, or every half a year. The additional cost is 35 yuan/piece.
Now there is a kind of tyre cleaner and protector for tyres. It costs about 10 yuan per bottle and is self spraying. After spraying, it will soften the rubber of tyres, restore elasticity and make cracks shrink.
About waxing. There are many kinds of car wax, and two kinds of wax are generally used:
One is solid wax, which is mainly used to wax the locomotive shell. The solid wax has good wear resistance, but it is not recommended to use solid wax on the locomotive shell frequently. The solid wax still wears the locomotive paint to a certain extent! It is recommended that it be held every 2 months.
The other is liquid wax, which is what we call surface wax and belongs to self spraying wax. There are many black plastic parts of the scooter, such as the dashboard, steering handle, seat and the seat part under the seat. Liquid wax is used to wax these parts, and solid wax must not be used to wax the black plastic part. Because after rain and cold weather, white wax marks will appear on the waxed part. Solid wax has high density, so liquid wax must be used for the upper surface plate. The leather of seats can also be waxed with liquid wax. In this way, your car will appear in front of you with a new face.
Gasoline. Fill according to the compression ratio of your car's engine. 10: For engines with compression ratio above 1, it is recommended to use gasoline with compression ratio above 93, which can better reflect the performance of engines with high compression ratio and save fuel!
If the parking time is more than 1 hour, it is recommended to support a big stand, which can relieve the pressure of the body weight on the tires and shock absorbers, so as to extend the service life of the tires and shock absorbers.
